Melissa’s experience

  • About Melissa

I believe thelat that good breeding has every to do with great ethics. When I started breeding I made a promise that I would breed not only beautiful babies but I would develop a breeding program built on trust and honesty. I work every day to do this. When you choose RoyalBaezBasset you should know that nothing will ever be hidden from you about you puppy.

  • What makes Melissa’s program special

I breed quality not quantity. Your puppies parents are genetically tested before they are bred. I breed not only for quality but for health. If i know my adult dogs are not suitable to be making puppies they are not bred. I will keep my new and previous owners updated on any thing i learn about my dogs that could affect their puppies. Transparency is quality!!

If ever you can not take care of your puppy I will take your puppy back. Our laced ear bassets are often priced differently as wellas our liver shuh tzus. More about Melissa

  • Why Melissa started breeding

I started breeding tonkinese kittens in 1990. I fell in love with basset hounds at a very young age when I saw a man walking his basset hound. I must have been 8 years old. I swore when I grew up I would get one of those long eared fat dogs!!. First thing I did when I bought a house...I bought a basset!! I continued my venture with something much smaller, falling in love fast with the shih tzu breed and here we are today!
